*Here’s the latest on the unfortunate passing of Michael Clarke Duncan.
The actor and Omarosa Manigault were secretly engaged and the wedding was set for this January, TMZ is reporting:
Sources connected with the couple tell us, Michael and Omarosa kept the engagement a secret from the media … only telling very close friends and family about the pending nuptials.
We’re told the couple had just started planning for the wedding when Michael went into full cardiac arrest July 13 and was hospitalized until his death.
We’re told Omorosa is just destroyed after waging a valiant fight to save Michael. She had doctors flown in from all over the world but constantly worried if she was doing enough.
Michael Clarke Duncan died while still in the hospital Monday morning. He was 54.
Again, we, the African American public, are just so torn up about his passing — as if we known him personally. Our sincere condolences . . .

He seemed like a really genuine nice guy and my heart goes out to Omarosa and his family n friends who knew him. RIP Gentle Giant!
They seemed made for each other. I feel really bad for Omarosa and his family. I was really pulling for him and was so sorry to hear of his outcome.
On another note, I really don’t get all the hateful comments towards Omarosa that I read on TMZ. If she was really as ‘horrible’ as these folks claim her to be, I don’t think that Mr. Duncan would’ve been with her and proposed to her. We even don’t know these folks so I don’t get why folks have to get so hateful towards a celebrity.
This is such a huge loss to the acting community as well as his family and friends. I broke down in tears when I saw Omarosa crying, you could feel her heart breaking. At least the gently giant found love in his life before the good Lord decided to call him home. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan. You will live on in the movies you made, and that wonderful voice and beautiful smile!!!
I’m happy he found a solid love in Omarosa as well. She and family must be inconsolable over his passing. Michael had a great future ahead of him and I really thought he was going to make a full recovery from the heart attack. He seemed like such a wonderful guy who will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans.
