*In a surprising survey, HoopsHype.com found that although President Barack Obama is a hooper, his GOP rival Mitt Romney has managed to garner more NBA support than him.
We have to keep in mind, however, that most of the pro-ball contributors are team owners and executives. You can figure out the rest.
Anyway, Romney collected more than $70,000 in donations from owners and execs like Michael Gear of the Atlanta Hawks, Daryl Morey of the Houston Rockets, Pat Riley of the Miami Heat, and Herb Simon of the Indiana Pacers.
Obama wasn’t far behind though, with $67,750.
The president plans to pass up the competition with a star studded event called ‘Classic,’ where NBA legends Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing will participate.
NBA-sters who have donated to his campaign include Vince Carter, Grant Hill, Baron Davis, Spurs’ Gregg Popovich, and Celtics’ Doc Rivers.

Pat Riley ?!
Does this cracka realize that he would be nothing if it wasn’t for black players like Kareem and Magic?
And he only continued to be relevant because of players like Shaq, Zo, Wade and Lebron.
Regardless of wah they say?, I BET the bulk of this money. And from the “owners” & NOT the…..players. Bytches lying again!!!
Sorry…..”)came” from….etc!
Beat him by how much? A few thousand dollars so far? And you call this a story?
Is it any surprise that wealthy team owners are supporting a guy who will help them keep all their millions without paying their fair share of taxes…or anything? Can’t blame them for wanting to hold on to their mostly ill gotten gains, but the rest of us in America, who don’t want to support these guys lavish lifestyles while we live paycheck to paycheck (those of us who have one), will vote for Obama AGAIN.
