On Tuesday, the Chicago Teachers Union’s governing body voted to end the strike that has kept 350,000 students out of class in the nation’s third-largest district.
According to city officials, look for classes to resume Wednesday, bringing an end to a seven-day strike that thrust Chicago into the forefront of a national debate over the use of test scores in teacher evaluations and rehiring rules.
