Prosecutors charged the 54-year-old actor, who has made more than 100 movies, with conspiring to buy homes he could not afford from 2005 to 2007. Lister, with help from a real estate agent, a mortgage loan officer, a bank manager, an escrow officer and an accountant, is said to have used falsified records to unlawfully acquire four homes for $5.7 million dollars; which the bank later sold at a loss of more than 2.6 million, according to a news release from the U. S. Attorney’s Office.

Lister has been accused of submitting fake W-2 forms and pay stubs, in his applications to obtain home equity lines of credit. He faces 5-years in prison for this stunt.

The case was investigated by the FBI and Internal Revenue Service.

    loser

  2. @ Nightshift, LOL…wow, D-Bo was broke and had to result to this??? Dang

  3. I honestly don’t see what the big deal is about.
He didn’t actually steal any money. What he did was no different from the subprime loans Wells Fargo was giving to home buyers whose income wouldn’t normally qualify them, which means they couldn’t afford the homes. Just like Deebo.

    Then this:
“Lister also admitted to withdrawing over $1 million in loans against the properties, which were never paid back.”

So is this an additional crime? He already had the houses, so he can use them as collateral for whatever he wants to.

They need to let that man go. People work with loan officers every day to qualify for homes which they wouldn’t have if everything went by the book.
Go after Wells Fargo and the banks who sold folks home they couldn’t afford then foreclose on them after taking all their money.

  4. LOL @Nightshift….at least he could have gotten those tangled eyes fixed with some of that money.
