Just a week after announcing the dates for the 21-city European Euphoria Tour, he’s decided to postpone the concert until fall 2013.
Right now, however, he’s focusing on his kids and his mentoring job on “The Voice.”
“The feeling of euphoria that I get when performing for you is indescribable,” Usher wrote in a statement announcing the postponement. “I love each and every one of you and thank you for being there every step of the way. I truly appreciate and am grateful for your support while I take this time to focus on my children and continue to evolve with my fans. Evolve or evaporate.”
He’s gotta keep his life balanced and in control, so fans can definitely get a piece of the action while he’s doing his thing on “The Voice” as a judge, alongside Shakira.
“I’m really excited about it,” he said. “It’s the type of show that I feel really sets up an artist and makes it about what matters most first: the voice. Everything else comes afterwards in terms of the mentors; that’s what gives the personality, gives the opportunity to be an artist who will excel and transcend culture and also be able to tell an incredible story in music. So I like being able to be at that place. I love being a mentor.”
