*Hmmmmm, we must admit we always wondered if MJ was “a little less than present” as he got off that bus and headed towards his press conference for the “This Is It” concert back in 2009. Remember?
He was wearing his trademark shades, with the black suit accentuated by silver thread embroidery. There was something about the way he swung off that bus; he kind of looked like a combination of ‘rock-star-cool’ and hmmmmm.’
Now, as it turns out, according to emails obtained by the Los Angeles Times, The King of Pop was just coming off a bender.
Holding some 250 pages of messages, most between executives at Anschutz Entertainment Group, which was financing the ill-fated “This Is It” concerts set for London, the L.A. Times messages show that the executives were concerned that Jackson’s planned 50-show stand at AEG’s 02 Arena would be an “expensive bust.” In one exchange, AEG’s Randy Phillips wrote to his boss that Jackson was “an emotionally paralyzed mess.”
Writing from Jackson’s hotel suite in London; just hours before a press conference, Phillips wrote to AEG President Tim Leiweke,
“MJ is locked in his room drunk and despondent…I (am) trying to sober him up.”
Jackson arrived 90-minutes late to the press conference, (the one where he did that Nixon-peace-sign-pose at the conclusion… Still weird); And the 350 reporters thought so too; describing the press conference using words like, “odd” and “disjointed.” In the end, the emails show, Phillips and Jackson’s manager had to dress the pop star, the Times said.
But AEG’s attorney, Marvin Putnam, says Phillips exaggerated in his emails, and comes to Jackson’s defense saying the pop star’s behavior was merely a bad case of “nerves.”
The Times said the messages will probably play a key role in two lawsuits set for trial next year. The shows’ insurers are asking a judge to nullify a $17.5-million policy that they say AEG got with false claims about Jackson’s health and readiness to perform.
Additionally, Jackson’s heirs filed a wrongful-death suit that accuses the entertainment giant of pressuring the singer to carry on with a comeback despite indications he was too weak.
AEG has denied any wrongdoing and says the emails were leaked to present them in a negative light.

It’s pretty obvious that MJ was on something. There was no way he was going to be able to do 50 shows and all that stress + drugs killed him. MJ got what he wished for which was to be one of the most well known entertainers in the world. He got his wish and paid a heavy price for it.
Even in death, Michael Jackson is still an enigma. How sad how his life was cut so soon! Rest in peace as Michael was the world’s greatest entertainer!!!
Michael Jackson was NOT a drug addict and NEVER drank. There is a CORONER’S REPORT STATING THAT THERE WAS NO DRUG / ALCHOOL OR ELSE ABUSE. Also, the CORONER STATED that he was in good health more than anyone of his age.
Michael Jackson suffered from insomnia and was not a doctor, he trusted his doctor. Murray told him that propofol was safe and he just needed to be monitored. People suffering from serious insomnia are sedated in the hospitals to help them to sleep, it is not an unsual procedure but Murray wouldn’t have had to use it in home setting. With no doubt anyone suffering from insomnia would do anything to sleep (if they could), even ignorant people who often speak without knowing what they are talking about, just out of turn.
Disgusting useless being would do better to be sorry for themselves and their pathetic obvious non-lives.

MJ himself stated that he was addicted to painkillers at one point. So some other ‘useless’ folks don’t know what the hell they are talking about EITHER. How does anyone explain all those prescription bottles that they took out of MJ’s home after he died? Gimme a break. MJ had human frailities like everybody else and it’s absurd to pretend like he was some kind of saint who didn’t make mistakes. Listen up – Michael Jackson was embarking on a very high-profile, high-risk comeback and re-entering an arena loaded with bad past experiences for him. He’d been publicly slandered, beaten up, falsely accused of crimes and acquitted of them in a brutal media circus, wasted millions on legal bills, forced to leave his beloved home and take his family wandering the planet, and worst of all had been unable to devote any time to his career or his art – in other words, the worst decade of his life had hurt him to his core. The jackals were still waiting for him to step back on that stage and he knew it. But he wanted so much to show the world he could still be the biggest thriller of all, and wanted to keep helping the less fortunate with his philanthropy. I guess my question is somewhat of a sociological experiment into the mind of the type of person who can be so protective and obsessive over someone he/she doesn’t know and will likely never meet.
