*Cissy Houston is really afraid that her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina, will go down the same path as her mother, Whitney Houston, and end up dead from drugs, which is why she wants to withhold Bobbi’s multi-million-dollar inheritance, sources tell TMZ.
Sources close to Cissy tell us, Cissy feels Bobbi is currently surrounded by numerous negative influences — including her boyfriend Nick Gordon and father Bobby Brown — who will drain Bobbi’s fortune given half the chance.
We’re told Cissy also feels 19-year-old Bobbi is still extremely impressionable right now — and if left unchecked with millions of dollars, Bobbi could end up going off the rails … eventually dying just like Whitney.
According to sources, Cissy wants to wait until Bobbi has matured significantly more before she gets her money … an estate estimated at $20 million … though it’s unclear how long she wants her to wait.
As for allegations Cissy is trying to withhold Bobbi’s fortune to hoard the money for herself — Cissy is telling friends that’s total BS … that’s it’s about protecting her family.
As we reported, Cissy and Whitney’s sister-in-law Pat Houston filed a request this week to modify Whitney’s will — in order to change the distribution schedule of the estate.

I hope they’re successful in altering the distribution schedule because this girl is a train wreck waiting to happen. With little education and no career path she really needs to get a grip. I bet she’s not even speaking to Cissy at this point.
Mel, that pretty much sums it up…I think Mrs. Houston sees the very same pattern that caused her daughter’s demise and doesn’t want the same fate for her granddaughter but BK is a train wreck waiting to happen. One would think she would take look at the mistakes her Mother made and try to make something good out of her life either by school or something productive but the writing is on the wall, she smells herself and isn’t trying to hear or do anything…sad
I absolutely agree with you Melody. BK really need some therapy She is young, lost, hurting from mother’s death and on the path to destruction. We have to be mindful that this girl grew up in a very, very dysfunctional home and worst yet was raised by druggie/sex addicts so anything pretty much normal would be quite different for her. I wish Whitney would have let Cissy have custody of BK when Cissy requested for BK to stay with her during that downhill period. It may have helped a little to shape and mode her into a healthy conscious. I don’t blame Cissy for doing what she needs to do to. BK is all Cissy has left from Whitney. It won’t be easy for her because this child appears to be hard headed and stubborn but if she is able to pull through and be saved from those demons that follows her she will be thanking her grandmother some years down the road for what she is doing now. There’s really no one who truly has her best interest besides her grandmother. I don’t trust those uncles or that aunt of hers. The relationship between her and her dad seems to be very strange and distant. I wish her the best with BK because she is a train wreck just waiting to explode.

Cissy cannot hold it forever. Like it or not, BK is an adult and if she is going to squander her fortune, no one can stop her.
