*Condoleezza Rice, who served as President George W. Bush’s secretary of state, is speaking out in defense of the GOP presidential ticket on women’s issues, saying the Romney-Ryan ticket will “respect” those who differ with them on those subjects.
“I would like to say to people that I am not always in agreement with everything that’s written in the Republican platform about social issues. But I know that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are going to respect the views of those who may disagree on these issues. They are going to take that into account,” she said Wednesday on Fox News’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”
Rice dismissed rhetoric about a so-called Republican war on women as both presidential campaigns vie for the undecided female vote. Her comments came a day after Indiana GOP Senate hopeful Richard Mourdock came under fire for saying a pregnancy resulting from a rape is God’s will. Democrats immediately hit Romney for having endorsed the candidate, even though Romney distanced himself from Mourdock’s statement.
“I am quite comfortable that those who talk about a ‘war on women’ are not just engaging in hyperbole, I think it’s far worse than that,” she said. “It is condemning people who are going to be reasonable and who are going to take into account the views of whom they don’t agree.”

Romney with that fake smile!! ever the robot, he is so not engaging, warm or friendly IMO look at how he is with Condi Rice, he could give a rat’s azz about her or women’s issues he just wants Condi’s endorsement as a matter of fact Condi does not give two shakes about women’s issues herself.
I remember thinking how the last election had me so riled up and upset thinking that Obama was going to lose to McCain and this is the exact same stunt…there was brotha on CNN yesterday morning and he was so on point ABOUT everything regarding the President. He wasn’t making excuses but he was more so explaining reality. If the people think Mitt can do better, OK but you can best believe it will be a whole helluva lot worse than the Bush era, believe that…if he can create so many jobs, then why hasn’t he done so? Why was he in agreement to outsource. Since when do rich people honestly give a merry MF about the poor and middle class. If you notice, he doesn’t even bother with the Latinos nor does he talk about or address immigration issues. Latinos are taking over like locust…
He’s not even a policy maker so how could he create jobs? What agreement to outsource?
Bill Clinton is rich. Bill Gates is rich. Both seem to care about the poor and middle class.
He doesn’t talk about Latinos for the same reason Obama doesn’t talk about blacks.
“….But I know that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are going to respect the views of those who may disagree on these issues” …..and you know this how kizzy??
LOL!! You ain’t lying! She will do and say anything to be affiliated with that party. She is suck a KOON!
The fact that Rep. Richard Mourdock believes that all raped women should be legally required to carry their rapists babies because they are “Gifts from God” is horrifying but the fact that Mitt Romney is publicly and officially endorsing him is dangerous for every single American citizen.
Contrary to liberal theology, many people do see abortion as killing a child. Not sure what’s so horrifying about that.
I think telling your child when it grows up that it was conceived by rape is horrifying! I’m sure they will grow up more productive knowing that…DNA is a mutha!
Abortion is a private matter between a woman and her doctor.
I don’t condone abortion… however, as long as it is legal; a woman has a right to have an abortion.
I fear a time when women go back to the back room using a hanger method… or whatever else they can find.
As long as Government funds should not be used to perform abortions, I don’t think it should be in the political arena!
I am not sure of the numbers of unwanted babies and child abuse… but I would think there is a high number of unwanted babies who are abused.
Abortion is a private matter between a woman and her doctor.
Right and this talking point presents the issue for many. A woman can kill a man child’s because that’s her “right.”
I agree that it shouldn’t be a political issue but you can blame the dems for this one.
No one should be able to tell a woman what to do with her body period! Not some religious leader housed in a walled city thousands of mile away from her or the preacher down the street. It is no one’s business but that woman’s and her higher power.
Keep abortion safe AND legal!
