Jamie Foxx Talks Directing Comedy and Working with Martin Lawrence

*Yay! Jamie Foxx is getting back to comedy. The multi-talented actor/singer is going to direct a comedy flick with funny man Kevin Hart and Ken Jeong from “Hangover.” Oh, this is going to be good.

In an interview with BET, Jamie revealed a few details about the project we know is going to be off the chain.

“I got a film I want to direct, it’s called ‘All Star Weekend.’ It’s about two guys, one guy who loves Kobe Bryant, the other guy loves LeBron James. When you talk about LeBron and Kobe, it’s like talking about Republican and Democrat. It is all the way out there funny,” he said. “I would probably make a cameo in it. Hopefully we’ll get that going really soon.”

In the meantime, he’s planning to get back to work on “Skank Robbers.” No comment.

This movie came up before, but got pushed to the backburner for some reason. Jamie says the only issue with the project is that schedules don’t line up with his anticipated co-star, Martin Lawrence. It could be that the hibernating comedian doesn’t even want to do the movie. No one will ever know.

  1. What happened to Jamie’s Sirius/XM Foxxhole channel? There was some great shows on there, Sheryl Underwood, Zo Williams, Corey Holcomb, Chris Webber, Lalah Hathaway, etc. Now it’s turning into shit.

I agree. That used to be such a good channel.I wonder if Sirius is still paying Jamie to play comedy bits that we have heard over and over. EUR why don’t you do a story on that and stop and just reporting on press releases.

  2. Is it me or does it seem like Sirius/XM is becoming WACK

    • SoopDawg1 says:

it’s not you. To me they are paying big bucks to big personalities that don’t even work on the stations. They just pay for the name. They need to funnel that money to actual on air talent. The Foxxhole was a great idea, but they don’t have any kind of consistency to their progrmming and now they just play comedy bits over and over.

      • It’s not Sirius/XM that’s wack, it’s the Foxxhole. If you listen to all the other stations they sound chrystal clear. When they play music on the foxxhole check out how muffled it sounds. Also I got hooked on the Joe Madison Show on channel 128. I can listen to sound bytes from Tom Joyner, Steve Harvey, Russ Parr etc. The Madison Show must be heard live.

Joe Madison doesn’t play around. I love when people calls in and tries to pull some b.s. with him. He sets them straight with a quickness.
