A judge rejected the couple’s request because a party planning company in Boston has been using the name since 2009.
Bey reportedly wanted to open up a children’s boutique with her daughter’s moniker.

I’m thinking that with just a little research the two of them could have found this out months ago…..
they probably couldn’t spell “google”
i think u’r right….they gotz money but still…
Jay; attended Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, but did not graduate. In his music he refers to having been involved in selling crack cocaine
Bee; attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston and later went to Alief Elsik High School, located in the Houston suburban municipality, Alief.
Nice try. If that ding bat (Beyonce) discovered that Blue Ivy is the name of a plant right before she “ALLEGEDLY” had the baby, she should sure as hell know that somebody else knew this information before her.
i think i wouldve picked another name for my child entirely .. rather than name my baby after one of my husbands ex’s .. becasue didnt he used to date Blu Cantrell???? ijs?? i think its a pretty name .. butttttt….. O.o
True, too…I think or thought Blu Cantrell looked better than Beyonce’ back then. Just didn’t have the voice or sound or was able to sell as many records. I guess Jay said…I’m gonna go with this (Beyonce’) lol.
They thought they were being different but it ended up being another hood name
Yeah, some research would have told them it was already trademarked. I can imagine with the money they have, a good attorney could have found out that info for them. But I find it interesting that now the truth comes out. Their initial reasons for trademarking her name was to prevent others from commercializing off it. Turns out, they wanted to do it themselves. They’ll be fine, Bey will just have to use Blue’s image as opposed to name to promote a product.
