*Week before last the media went along with the fairy tale that all was well between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.
In other words, the spposed beef they were having was pure fantasy on the part of the media.
Well, flash forward to today in Charlotte, North Carolina where things got real sour between them all over again. But this time, the cameras were there to capture the action (watch it below).
Nicki Minaj derailed the “American Idol” auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina today, after swearing at Mariah Carey and threatening, “I’m gonna knock you out” … sources tell TMZ.
In the footage, obtained by TMZ, Nicki is clearly furious … shouting, “I told them, I’m not f*ckin’ putting up with her f*ckin’ highness over there.”
Sources say Nicki later threatened to “knock out” Mariah … but that part wasn’t captured on tape.
It all went down while the two were sitting at the judge’s table … with Keith Urban sitting in between them and Randy Jackson sitting on the far end, next to Mariah.
We’re told the whole thing exploded over a disagreement about a contestant’s performance.
According to our friends at MouthToEars.com, producers ended the auditions for the day so the two judges could cool down.
Big wigs on the show seem uncharacteristically upset by the blow up — it appears this was no joke and it seems producers are worried about Mariah and Nicki co-existing for the long haul.
Nope, this doesn’t bode well for “AI.” We don’t see this getting any better. The last thing they can afford is for Miss nicki to go crazy during a live edition of the show. It would get hella ratings, but would also inflict major damage PR wise.
“American Idol,” you’ve got a problem on your hands. Somebody might have to go. If so, who could it be?

I guess we will have to take their word that it wasn’t staged, because I can’t really see how creating a scene would help the show. Either way, Mariah doesn’t seem to be phased one bit by her “tantrum”, or whatever the hell she thought she was doing by raising her squeaky voice.

Let me tell you why there’s beef between the two. Mariah has been watching those YouTube videos about Whitney Houston and she knows that Minaj was in on the ritualistic sacrafice.
Nikki should have never been chosen to begin with. She has not been in the industry that long to critique and give someone advice. That still doesn’t take away from Mariah’s arrogance either. That’s true Nightshift. Ratings that AI are desperate for since the show is sinking deeper. They already knew putting a diva and an egotistic maniac together would be a dangerous clash.
Hmmm. 1. This show has not been hot since Fantasia won (JMO). 2. Mariah Carey is 1 bulb short and her singing skills have waned in the last 10 years. That sing, whisper, sing, whisper mess she’s been selling is hard to understand. 3. Nikki has the potential to show how talented but the gimmicks are a put off. Bottom line, there is no need to start yelling and screaming at each other when millions of dollars are on the table handle that mess behind the scenes. Sidenote* I could see Mariah driving someone crazy to the point of cursing her out. Just because you are a huge star you should act like a huge a$$. You can drop right back down to the bottom in no time (cue Glitter, the movie)!
Everything on television is all about ratings, that’s how these network make their money. It helps to have some drama and cattiness among the hosts, it was probably staged anyways. The last and the only time I’ve ever watch American Idol, that’s when Ruben Studdard won and I’ve never looked back.
Nicki bit off Lil Kim’s style & persona, and or Madonna / Lady Gaga. She has no real class, style, and talent. Her sorry fake confused ass will be a flash in the pan along with her form of plastic surgery.
