Shaunie Says ‘BBW:LA’ Needs a Makeover

*“The Basketball Wives” franchise is getting a makeover.

Shaunie O’Neal heard the complaints of viewers, screaming about the cattiness between the ladies. So she said the show, at least the L.A. version is going to get one.

“How ’bout a complete makeover”? Shaunie responded when a “BBW: L.A.” viewer wrote that the series is boring.

“PLEASE CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!! I JUST CAN’T,” the viewer posted.

Kicking the show as a whole is not quite in question yet, despite the drop in ratings.

She hasn’t revealed what the makeover would look like, but it’s a possibility that a whole new cast will be introduced. Some of her followers vibed with that idea.

“I think we’re all down for a complete makeover… & stopped watching in Season 1,” posted one Twitter user.

As far as the Miami show is concerned, there’s rumors Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed won’t be coming back.

  1. Shaunie is the root of all this foolishness. Notice she doesn’t have that young boy she sleeping with on the show.

  2. Shaunie is only making changes because of the complaints, otherwise she wouldn’t change any thing. She just want’s to stay in the public eye, but first she need’s to learn how to produce an intelligent show with significance, unfortunately she just has no experience in that field. I really think she’s trying to capitalize off of the fact that she’s the ex of Shaq.

The show is a hot mess I can’t watch it it is just totally ignorant and stupid. jackie Christie is TOO DAMN OLD to even be on the show!!! Why is she there? If you don’t have young relevent actual wives that want to be on the show then cancel the BS.

These shows and the degradation they do to black women is truly appalling. People can hate Oprah and say whatever – but at least the sista don’t have black women on her show debasing and acting the fool! The sista’s I have dated and befriended wouldn’t dare carry themselves in the manner some of these skanks carry themselves! As a black man – I really hate seeing this, as it perpetuates the old adage that Black women are “money hungry, loud, rumor mongrels and loose”, which is so dam false. This show and others that follow the same preposterous story lines, truly tries to convey negative stereotypes we have been aligned with for years. They become for prominent because we have people watching this garbage (especially young black girls). On black history month – I hope someone in Shaunie’s children’s school ask.. “what did your mother do to empower black women?” Can’t wait to read the answer and the publication to this one… and the answer….”got rich, degraded her people for profit and allowed her kids to witness Mommie at her finest!”

True dat fa SHO, mayn!!! Now…..if only a “female” would “think/feel/post the same sentiment regarding how “BROTHAS” are depicted on screen etc…! Seems to me?, they are outraged at “this”?, but could care less & usually AGREE with “Our” labels/stereotypes! Why do I post this?, b/c the proof is in their lack of “outcry”, when the shyt “ain’t making “them” stank”. No realizing?, We ALL are seen the saaaaame daaaaaamn waaaaaaay, & “these female shows” are tha proof! Oh well….”kids tadeh”! Yarn! Bow & Wow!

I meant……..”kids, self serving gender bias, vicarious bitterness, hypocritical “victim role playing”, &…… double standards”!

  5. @ Timm, SPEECHLESS…SOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE!

  6. I co-sign with all of you.

  7. What’s saddest about this is that with all of the crap black women have to deal with, the stereotypes, the shows and articles on why black women are single, why black women are fat, why black women can’t get along, why black women are so mean, etc, etc, etc and so on, one black woman decides that bringing all of the negativity and stereotypes about black women to life is the way to make her mark and cash in. Shame on you Shaunie. I am one that speaks up for black men every chance I get; whether it’s negative things seen on the big and small screen or in everyday life. Unfortunately not many black men (I’ve come in contact with) appreciates it.
