Cecil Singleton, second man to accuse Kevin Clash of sexual abuse
*TMZ is reporting that a second man is now accusing Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, of having a sexual relationship with him when he was underage.
The accuser, who is now in his 30s, has filed a lawsuit against Clash claiming the two met on a gay phone chat line back in 1993, when the accuser was 15 years old and Clash was 32. In the suit, the accuser reveals his name is Cecil Singleton. His attorney also provided TMZ with a photo.

Among the allegations, Singleton claims, “[Clash] trolled gay telephone chat line rooms to meet and have sex with underage boys.”
In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in NYC, Singleton claims Clash “groomed [the accuser] to gain his trust by, among other things, taking him to nice dinners and giving him money.”
Singleton claims while Clash was featured on “Sesame Street,” he was “preying on teenage boys to satisfy his depraved sexual interests.”
In the suit, Singleton claims although the sex occurred nearly 20 years ago, he didn’t take action until now because he “did not become aware that he had suffered adverse psychological and emotional effects from Kevin Clash’s sexual acts and conduct until 2012.”
Singleton is demanding more than $5 million.
Clash struck a settlement with a previous accuser who initially claimed he had a sexual relationship with Kevin beginning when he was 16 years old. As part of the settlement, the accuser issued a statement recanting his claims.
Man, it’s hard to withold judgment when you read this type of thing.
I guess I’m trying to understand why a 15 yr old boy would be on a gay chat line with grown men in the first place….and then when these perves make an approach and you continue having relations without being force unlike those young children who were molested by that Penn State creep. It’s kind of hard for me to feel sympathy for these young men. In my opinion, they consented when they didn’t have too. JMO. Elmo won’t be a huge deal this Christmas. *Kanye Shrug*

I don’t believe the nonsense about Singleton not realizing the “adverse” effects of having sex with a grown man as a teenager until now. It is just a damn shame that not even Sesame Street is immune to a sex scandal. SMH in disgust.
IMO this new allegation reeks of opportunistic media whoring. Internet: The realm where anyone can be tried via MSM, based solely on conjecture.

Kevin Clash the voice behind Elmo who’s a muppet character on the children’s tv show Sesame Street has pretty much tarnished the show and image. I wouldn’t be surprise if viewers ask him to step down or resign. Sooner, or later parents are not going to want their children to see, or hear any make believe stories from some sexual preditor lurking around for young boys. Hopefully, this does not turn into a Jerry Sandusky situation. It’s no secret that Kevin will have to shell out more money than initially planned.
