*Dang, just like that, the hope that Chris Tucker would return to “Friday” is snatched away.
The comedian has serious doubts that the same charm naturally cultivated in the first film will be possible to duplicate in a fourth. Chris publicly shared his doubts of reuniting with Ice Cube for another chapter.
Although the cast hasn’t been finalized, Cube is saying even if ‘Smokey’ doesn’t show, the movie is still going to be great.
“Well, my magic is still here so the movie is going to get done. The movie is going to be funny, and it’s going to live up to all the long-anticipated wait,” the rapper-actor told The Huffington Post.
“I would hope that he’ll be a part of it. He’s more than welcome to be a part of it,” Cube added. “It’s a trip, because you’re looking and somebody says that ‘the magic is not even there’ who’s never even tried it.”
For all the doubters, the ‘Craig’ says the first flick was such a huge success that if he and the comedian reunite, a new installment would be equally successful.
“We put the first one together and we can put another one together. So he should really trust that, and do what his fans want him to do,” Cube argued. “You should never out grow your fans. And if the fans want him to do this movie, that’s what we’re in this for, then that’s what he should do.”
You would think with all the tax problems Chris Tucker is having, he’d hurry up and joint aboard…with these antics, folks won’t really give a damn whether he’s in it or not…Mike Epps works for me.
That’s what I said the dude got tax problems up the ass and doesnt want to make a Friday flick. I think he believes he is too good, but Rush hour is the same thing minus multiple ‘N’ word usage, It’s not like he has roles coming like crazy but maybe he is avoiding being type casted which I can understand.
The franchise went downhill for me with Mike Epps. I wish Chris had stayed with it because ‘Friday’ is the best one out of the three.
I sincerely hope that Chris has a change of heart and that all of the characters from the original Friday return. No need to write a part for Day Day because he ain’t needed.
You literally took the words out of my mouth. Mike Epps (SO OVERRATED and UNFUNNY) does not hold a candle to Chris Tucker. The first Friday movie was soooo funny!
Hopefully, they’re being hush hush about everything and he will be in the movie. I think it would be great but your right, its not like he’s the most sought after actor. He’s gained weight and hasn’t done much. It’d be stupid on his part not to take the role.
