Nicci Gilbert Gets Axed from the ‘R&B Divas’ Club

nicci gilbert*Although Faith Evans boasts of “R&B Divas” being a no drama show, Nicci Gilbert was recently shown the exit from.

Obviously some serious drama went down to create that situation.

But Gilbert, who, ironically, is the show’s co-creator, doesn’t seem to be holding any grudges; she still has her Curvato clothing line, and hopes that a fan’s previous comment about her and the girls coming together on BET’s “Black Girls Rock,” will become a reality (see the tweet below).

One can hope, right?

According to TheYBF.com, TV One’s research showed that the audience didn’t connect with Nicci; surveys showed that 95 percent of the viewers said she is their least favorite diva.

Meanwhile, there’s talk that the show is headed towards an LA based spin off. Nice.

As of now, Nicci’s firing remains technically under wraps until casting for season 2 begins.

  1. For some stank reason, she came with the nastiest of diva attitudes and wanted her voice and opinions to be bigger than anyone else’s. Out of all the ladies, I liked her least and felt the show would be better without her bossy ass!

agreed Mcnasty: Mighty funny coming from somebody who’s only claim to fame was back in the 90s and that was it

  3. Good riddance! I got tired of her saying how she didn’t want to sing and that it wasn’t her passion. It seemed like her main reason for being involved with the show was to push Curvato anyway. Very talented, but she was always so busy assessing everybody else’s situations to look at her own. In the words of Monifah, she was “Mother Henning” them to death!!

Out with Nicci, IN WITH KELLY!!!
