Obama Wins Florida: Final Electoral Tally Over Romney: 332 to 206

The fat lady has sung for the last time,  Republicans.

NBC News on Saturday projected that President Barack Obama has won Florida, topping Republican challenger Mitt Romney in the final electoral vote tally 332 to 206.

The Florida Secretary of State’s Office said that with almost 100 percent of the vote counted, Obama led Romney 50 percent to 49.1 percent, a difference of about 74,000 votes. That was over the half-percent margin where a computer recount would have been automatically ordered unless Romney had waived it, NBC News reported.

Obama had already clinched re-election, leading earlier in the Electoral College vote 303 to 206.

A win in Florida gives Obama victories in eight of the nine swing states, losing only North Carolina. He won Ohio, Iowa, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Virginia, Colorado and Nevada.

  1. Well, not as much as the 365 when he first won, but a whole lot more than the 286 Bush had in 2004 when the Republicans stole Ohio with the Man-in-the-Middle computer setup. But even though he won by only one state, Bush went around bragging how he had “political capital” which he planned to spend.

Did y’all know that the Democrats would take back the House if they used the same voting districts as in 2010?That’s when the Republicans came in and went on a gerrymandering campaign to make it near impossible for the Democrats. But they can only hold on for so long.
I’m wondering what they are going to come up with next to win another general election. Their voter suppression didn’t work in Florida and Hispanics will form a larger percentage of the electorate. I figure that a lot of these racist whites will also vote Democrat if one of their color wins the nomination.

The Republicans will eventually go the way of the Whigs.

  2. Can you say landslide? This must be demoralizing to Romney and Ryan but who cares they lost!

  3. And the azzwhoopin?….continues!! Well done Mr. President..WELL done!!! OBAMA 2012 & beyond!!!!

Good. Luckily the election had already been determined; before needing even one Florida vote.
