*Oprah Winfrey agreed to reach into her own deep pockets to help her father Vernon Winfrey divorce his wife Barbara, according to the National Enquirer.
Vernon Winfrey, 79, decided to break up with Barbara, his wife of 12 years, after growing impatient with her spending habits, which he says almost cost him his barbershop business. After confiding his concerns to his daughter’s long-term partner Stedman Graham, Oprah stepped in to help.
Vernon said: ”One day when Stedman was in town for a speaking engagement, I told him over dinner what was going on and that I didn’t know how I was going to handle it but I wanted out of my marriage.
”He asked if I needed help and I said ‘Yes I believe so’. He immediately told Oprah and she told me to hire attorneys and she would take care of it.”
Vernon filed for divorce in June and claims his wife spent most of his money and is refusing to leave the $1.6 million Nashville home Oprah bought for him.
He told the Enquirer: ”I’ve filed for divorce and moved out of the beautiful home Oprah bought me to live in but I don’t own it. Barbara was spending money as if I were Oprah.”
U know Oprah has the best lawyers and Ms. O takes care of her daddy.
Mrs. Winfrey( oprah’s step mother) better take what she’ll get and call it a rap and not contest, she knew the house oprah purchased for her dad was owned by Oprah..her daddy’s name isn’t on the deed) and Mrs. winfrey moved in anyway.. so the house doesn’t belong to her as the divorced wife.
the Wife.. she has no rights to stay in the house of which Mr. Winfrey has moved OUT. A smart move by Daddy Winfrey..the house is being put up for sale by Oprah. The house is valued at 1 million dollars the date of purchase.. and now the home is up for sale, all proceeds of the sale with go to Oprah(the owner) not the divorced wife of Oprah’s daddy..
