Stacey Dash Defends Her Romney-ism on ‘The View’ (Video)

joy behar & tracey dash *If you missed it, yesterday Stacey Dash … yes, Tracey Dash was crazy enough to go on the “The View.”

And of course the number one question was  why she supported Mitt Romney.

“I liked Romney because of his track record. I’m a fiscal Republican, I thought he had a good plan for our economy,” Dash said.

Dash explained how she got “hell” for supporting Romney, citing race as the reason to why she was attacked.

“It was about race and I don’t feel that race should play any part in this.”

Check out some of the highlights of Stacey’s appearance below:

On Romney:

“I like Romney because of his track record. I’m a fiscal Republican. I thought he had a good plan for our economy. One of the things in his plan was to create a regulatory environment that encourages investment and certainty, which I think is the key to us getting jobs…”

On Not Voting For President Obama & Receiving Backlash:

“It was about race. I don’t feel race should play any part in this. I don’t want to harp on the negativity of that. It saddened me. People say things and do things when they feel let down or they feel like they’re not important or they feel like you don’t care about them. I think the Republican party should embrace more ethnic … be more inclusive of everyone.”

  1. this little chick is crazier than a june bug on a string, and she just wont go away.

    • LOL Poor thing besides her support of The Robot this is the most attention she has received in a long time so she better enjoy it while it last, it will be back to obscurity for her.

  2. Taurusingr says:

Wooooooooe! This may be the 1st a stupid azz stunt actually “works” for someone…”Black”. Like…..this lil traitor is “getting her waaaaaaay”! The shyt is worrrrrrkin! I hope this is “the” last gig she gets in this country, & has to “play ball in Italy” from now ‘on! But even dey azzes will prolly put this clueless bytch in the ..unemployment line. Let’s hope so. SSMGDHATSTB!

  3. I think it is good that she is defending her decision to vote for Romney.

I believe she could be a Fiscal Republican… she has a net worth of $8 million… (if source is correct)

Now… I wonder how many Fiscal Republicans support her by going to see her movies, or watch shows she is in on television? Just something she may wish to ponder.

Multiple choice Romney’s track record? Which one Stacey… For real? These are nothing more than talking bites!

Support whoever you wish… sometimes there is a backlash! Just saying…

  4. how dare she vote for Romney!! Obama should have gotten 100% of the black vote, lol

  5. butterpecanrican says:

What is a fiscal republican? Is that the same as a fiscal conservator.

  6. Interesting to note all the comments slamming her for her right to choose in what she believes in. Last time I checked we have Freedom Of Choice here in America. Perhaps people should respect each other and go on with their lives.

  7. She is actually extremely well versed on the political issues that affect us all. It’s a shame that MANY people never took the time to understand the issues and simply voted on color like “versatile” above…Traitor? I think not, responsible and educated woman? Yes. Don’t hate on her for her beliefs and her education…..if you truly think you are better off than you were 4 years ago, then that is why YOU voted for Obama. If you are continuing to struggle in the current economic climate, then perhaps you voted for the wrong candidate. Either way it’s Freedom Of Choice in the American system and the choice is up to you…

    • Stacey Dash, along with the rest of us, has the privilege to cast her vote for whomever she wants. I don’t understand the backlash against her, but it is what it is.

What sickens me is those who think the majority of black folks voted for Obama because he is black. Hello…that’s extremely disingenuous. Not only does that assume that black folks are monolithic in thought and action, but also lack the ability to think critically. No one publicly stated during this past election cycle that white folks voted for Romney because he’s white. Only black folks have to justify why they vote for a candidate if he happens to be of the same race as them. Why is that???

Isn’t it possible that Obama, a black man, actually appealed to black folks and others (young people, Latino, Asian, gay, white women, and educated white men in Metropolitan areas) because of the plan he laid out for America which like it or not his republican challenger did NOT? It was also extremely difficult for the Republican challenger to be taken seriously as a credible candidate because he changed his positions so much to appease the most vociferous in the republican party.

Further, folks who throw out that tired line need to know that black folks overwhelmingly vote democratic and have been doing so for the past 60+ years. Last I checked, Obama is the only Democratic presidential candidate who is black. If Obama had been the Republican presidential candidate, please believe, he would NOT have received the majority black vote.

If you think times are hard now with Obama, you definitely would be singing a different tune with Romney in the White House because minorities, gays, the elderly, and those who are middle class and poor weren’t even a consideration on Romney’s agenda. Corporations were and in Romney’s words — “Corporations are people, my friend.”

    • nylaconnect says:

@geniuinerep,She is actually well versed on what, letting ANOTHER white men screw her ,because that what the ever lying Romney would have done.

You must think you are addressing fools,President Obama was the better candidate PERIOD, and stop acting like we don’t vote for white people,we do it all the time.

Sheet we even did when we voted for Obama, his mother was white. Some of y’all need to stop repeating stuff that other DUMB people say, even when you know its not true or you should.

Dash can vote for and endorse whoever she wants ,no sane person would follow her advice anyway. She’s just another self hating Black person, who loves her some white men.

. Plz tell me what did that Liar stand for,he couldnt even win his own state after that great job he lied about and said he did.The man lied so much I was shocked his nose didn’t grow.

    • Mars to Genuine rep: I agree with you. For the second time, my first post was made out of sarcasm. What is it that you’re not understanding?

  8. I really don’t think she’s that educated, and if so, in what? She actually looked like an airhead.

  9. Ladies & gentlemen …”the “BLACK” Sarah Palin”!

  10. @nylaconnect. Your racist attitude is showing…you might as well come right out and say how you really feels about whites…pathetic….

  11. @versatile…yes got it…

  12. nylaconnect says:

@genuinerep Your self hating attitude is showing…you might as well come right out and say how you really feel about your self

  13. I don’t get it. The Republicans finally decided to coach Stacey in presenting their talking points. But what’s the point in doing it after election when theyhave already lost?

She is an airhead. You can see that someone told her what to say.

  14. I like her even more now!
