The Jimmy Greene family and Ana

*America is grieving as a nation since experiencing Friday’s tragic reality.

The death of 20 children due to senseless violence has erupted into debates, anger, sadness and so much more.

While the death of all the victims has hit close to home for many, one victim in particular answers the question whether or not any of the children killed were black.

Noted black musician, Jimmy Greene, is among the parents whose children will never grow older.

His six-year-old daughter, Ana, was among the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn., says CBS News.

While it is difficult to understand the pain a parent in his situation is going through, he took time to share with his Facebook friends that his daughter is now in a better place.

He wrote:

Thank you for all of your prayers and kind words of support. As we work through this nightmare, we’re reminded how much we’re loved and supported on this earth and by our Father in heaven. As much as she’s needed here and missed by her mother, brother and me, Ana beat us all to paradise. I love you sweetie girl.
