A Florida judge’s ruling means Chris Bosh won’t have to pay Allison Mathis $30k in child support for the next 15 years.
*Looks like today’s gonna be a good day for Chris Bosh … moneywise.
And why is that? Well, the Miami Heat superstar made out like fat rat in a barrel of cheese when a judge in Orlando sided with him in his attempt to be deemed an official resident of Texas instead of Florida!
You may be wondering why Bosh keeps claiming he doesn’t live in Florida three years into his contract with the Heat?
Because, as we’ve previously reported, his baby mama – Allison Mathis – is only getting $2,600-a-month in child support from him because of a ruling in Texas, which Bosh claims as his official residence.
Had Bosh been found to be a Florida resident, he’d be looking at $30,000-a-month in child support for the next 15 years, reports Jose Lambiet’s Gossip Extra.
The ruling comes as part of a three-year battle between Bosh and an ex-girlfriend over their three-year-old daughter. The Heater was married last year to Adrienne Bosh. They have an infant son.
But when he played for the Toronto Raptors, Bosh lived with Allison Mathis, who got pregnant through fertility treatment.
Jane Carey, Mathis’ attorney, called today’s ruling a “miscarriage of justice” and promised to appeal.
“Everybody knows that Texas is rough on horses and women,” Carey said. “Now, I guess that any young man in Florida who makes big money should get a Texas address before they have a baby.
“They’ll save a lot of money that way.”
In August, the Dallas born-and-bred Bosh did appear before Orange County Circuit Court Judge Robert Evans and was grilled for two hours about his current residency. At the time, Carey stopped just short of calling him a liar.
At that hearing, Bosh admitted that, in order to get a mortgage to pay for his $12.5 million-Miami Beach home, he signed an affidavit swearing that the North Bay Road mansion would be his primary residence.
Bosh also fielded questions on why his name was purged from Texas’ voters lists.
But Judge Evans said he based his decision on one set of documents: Bosh’s income-tax filings, sent to the IRS from Texas!
If you’re wondering, because he had to play a game, Bosh was not in court and so far hasn’t issued a statement. Also, his attorney couldn’t be reached for comment, either.

First off the purpose of child support is supposed to be to take care of the child. 2600 a month definately takes care of a child or a mortgage. We need more rulings like this to A. prevent these money hungry women from having kids just to get paid and B. To be fair to the fathers, 33,000 a month in child support isn’t for the child its for the parent. Enough already and the lawyer is just mad she didn’t get her payday. At most he should be paying around 3000 – 4000 a month but 33,000 is riduculous and has nothing to do with the child.
Get a job!
Preach mayn…PRRRRRREEEEEEEEACH!!!!! Shyt is waaaaaay out of hand, & MUST stop! Just “how many pampers” does a GD baby go through, in a month!?? The shyt is nothing more than …”indirect “ALAMONY”, with having/getting/needing the fkn ring! And why is it “soley” the man’s responsibility to provide, when in most cases?, it’s these females who “decide to have” the damn babies, WITHOUT the consent of the men!? Like..if one “deciiiiiides” to be a damn mama?, THEY should have the means to proviiiiiide for that baby. Sheeeeeit, she “made the decision” without any GD “help” so…WTF!? And what “strong & independent” woman would “agree with” this twisted bias BS. The ways & days of the “lazy slut/jumpoff” are oooooooooohvaaaaaaaaaaah! Chuuuuuuuch!/Bow & Wow!
The things he tries to do for and with his daughter money can’t buy and the ex always seemed to prevent him from having an active role in their daughter’s life which will come back to haunt her. I’m willing to bet he’s doing way more than just paying the court ordered $2600 a month for child support. He wanted to take the child to various places and spend quality time with her but the mother would always come up with some lame ass excuses…I know the kid probably wants for nothing but he just doesn’t have to pay the mother shit. Well, we now know who’ll be the next addition to the Basketball Wives, or Whores reality show…
I AGREE WITH BOTH OF YOU LADIES 100%! The money he is paying is more than enough for his “child” a month. Let that whore/skank/flip/groupie/jumpoff get a job! Chris is doing his part. I actually applaud the court system in this instance. *golf claps*
I just hope the mother hasn’t/isn’t taking the verdict out on the child . . and y’all know, in this “if-I-can’t-have-it-my-way, I’m-gonna-kill-the-baby”, and y’all know my line of thinking is not far-fetched at all .just check the papers.
Child support is determined by your income..
Why would any man, who’s making millions, have an issue with making sure his child lives as comfortable as he does.
He problably spend more money a month than that on alcohol..
Not to mention the jewelry, whores and his homies or new found friends (Male golddiggers)
Oh but not on his child.. that would be too much like right.
She should “pull a Tina” .. go and leave the child with him to raise…. hell all women should do that.. Let him handle the day-to-day of dealing with raising a child…
Men try to act like its no big deal.. but are the last ones in line to do it.
If he is so “anti” with paying child support.. and is concerned about gold diggers.. why wouldn’t he have done everything in his power to prevent the pregnancy in the first damn place…
Texas is a very chauvanistic and harsh when it comes to women and children…
So all the deadbeats do well there.
My sister’s ex husband was ordered to pay $125 a month in child support…claiming that that was all he could afford… He then went on to re-marry father more children.
He finally admitted to her that he knew he could pay more..
I really hope they appeal this ruling and win.
Redvirgo, we all know child support is determined by your income. The fact of the matter is $2,600 a month is more than enough to support to a 3 year old child. The fact of the matter is Chris is making sure his child is living as comfortable as he does. The issue is Chris is paying what the court ordered. This woman DOES NOT WANT TO WORK ON HER MERIT. She wants to live off Chris’ money and that is a fact. Their kid has enough money for whatever that child may need and more. After all, a three year doesn’t need that much. That kid is well taken care of.
Chris is not a deadbeat by any means. Your sister’s ex husband is a fuckin’ bum and loser. Sorry she has to go through that. I just hate seeing mother’s of athletes beg and plead for large sums for their kids while they have no intention of getting a job. They just want to take pics and show them off on Facebook and Instagram every day.
This is a crock. Chris denied this child for more than a year, he left her pregnant & abandoned with his child in Texas so she had to go home to her family. It was only when he was looking to leave Vancouver that he acknowledged his child, this was also during Wade’s battle to obtain customer of his kids.
He has ALWAYS intended to deny this child, he called her everything in the book a gold digger saying she got pregnant on purpose, unlike the actual gold digger he married, they actually planned this child together. When she actually provided proof to the public Chris is a liar he then tried to sue to remove but was rebuffed more than once and he KNEW the Texas judges don’t give a crap about women or children (ala Steve Harvey BS) so he fought like HELL to have TX jurisdiction of the case. As the judge told him MORE than once, all the money you are spending to keep from increasing the support of your child for lawyers, publicists you could’ve provided this directly to your child but for some reason sees fit not to provide for his child. He also told him he cannot expect the mother to keep the child in a certain life style without the means to do so which is why he pays for other expenses not out the goodness of his lying heart. As for the $250,000 he said he gave her that is bull, when they sold their $1M+ house she was entitled to 50% of the net proceeds from the sale because TX is a community property state and BOTH of their names were on the deed.
He is the one that wanted Trinity closer to him or Alison would then have to pay expenses to have her visit him so she moved from Maryland with her family to Miami where he wanted his child to have a certain life style so she put down the money on the house. If he did not it was her intention to pay cash for a home or condo with the proceeds but he is a lying little boy that is easily lead. His current wife is EVERYTHING he called Alison, a golddigger classless etc that ran game on his dumb butt so he turned a wh@#e into a housewife but all he THOUGHT he did is going to bite him in the butt.
I think that is more than enough to take care of a small child and to mention that Chris is very active in her life which is very important as well. Cut a brother a break and go after these bums who don’t give a hoot about their children. This BM is bitter and need to move on with her life. She have tried everything under the sun to keep this child from being with her father and he had to fight for that right. She needs a job and a shovel to pick up that lip off the floor!
Time to move on Allison while you’re still reasonably attractive. Next time, ask the athlete to show his papers proving his residency in Florida before getting knocked up.
“$2,600-a-month?!”
That’s a damn shame. That’s like what, 1% of his salary?!
But I guess when you have that type of money, you can buy out even the judge. Ask Tameka Raymond.
LMAO, I knew the fact a man was wasn’t ordered to pay an exorbitant amount to care for his former girlfriend would piss you off..lolololololol
Yep. you gotta dude! The child will get a hefty 2600/month which doens’t include the extras.
Oh You Mad Bro?…lolol
I don’t think a man should be paying $30,000 a month in child support, but Bosh’s yearly salary is $17,545,000.
$2600 a month in child support?!
At that rate, that’s only 0.17% of his salary. Come on man, even you got to see how wrong that is.
