This will be the resounding chant after hearing Coco Jones’ Hollywood Records debut single, “Holla At The DJ.”
Coco, a Radio Disney N.B.T. finalist and star of Disney Channel’s “Let It Shine,” the #1 TV movie of 2012 to date in targeted youth demographics, has digitally released “Holla.” Coco worked with several of today’s top producers and songwriters on “Holla,” including Brian Kennedy (Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson), Makeba Riddick (Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez) and LaShawn Daniels (Usher.) The result is an aural feast – a rhythmic, danceable celebration!
Leading up to the single release, Radio Disney Planet Premiered “Holla At The DJ” on December 6, and the lyric video will go live. On December 8, Coco will be performing live at Radio Disney’s N.B.T. Finale Concert in Los Angeles. The following week, the official video for “Holla” will premiere on Disney Channel (December 12) and VEVO (December 13.) The official video for “Holla At The DJ” was directed by award-winning director Chris Applebaum (Rihanna, Selena Gomez.)
A bright-eyed southern beauty, 14-year-old Coco Jones was born in South Carolina and raised in Tennessee. At age nine, Coco had her first big performance singing the national anthem at an NFL football game. Recently, Coco was featured on Essence.com’s “35 Under 35: Young, Black, and Amazing,” along with pop/R&B divas like Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Beyonce. Amazing indeed. This year alone Coco has had over 40 performances and appearances, including Good Morning America, and the Essence Music Festival.
Coco Jones is currently writing and recording songs for her upcoming EP to be released in Spring 2013.
