*Don’t expect father-to-be Kanye West to show up at the Grammy Awards ceremony in February.
Despite having 18 statues already and six more nominations this year (including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song) the rapper – who announced Sunday that he and his girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting their first child – voiced frustration with the awards show for his lack of wins in the mainstream categories.
“How many Grammys do we have? 18 Grammys. All in the black categories, though, but nonetheless, 18,” he said during a gig at the Revel Resort in Atlantic City. “I love Maroon 5, but when I lost Best New Artist to Maroon 5… you know what I mean? Or when ‘Watch the Throne’ and ‘(My Beautiful) Dark (Twisted) Fantasy,’ neither of them got nominated for Album of the Year? Or when ‘N**gas in Paris’ didn’t get nominated for Record of the Year? So don’t expect to see me at the Grammys this year.” (Scroll down to watch.)
West is tied with leading acts fun., The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, Jay Z, Frank Ocean and Mumford & Sons, who also have six nominations each.
The ceremony will air live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 13.

Kanye wanted a mainstream “Grammy” for Ni**as in Paris”. How ironic that he want white people to embrace a word that the white community shouldn’t use. Simply amazing.

This brother is so full of himself! In this day and economy, what a blessing to have a job making millions, able to flight to exotic locals on a whim – not physically work – but create music – has his health and be the recipient of 18 grammy’s already! You would think this fool would be grateful and thanking the Good Lord for the massive blessings he has bestowed on young fool – but no, this idiot is still whining and for what? I am sure if he was homeless in NY in the subway, lost a kid to senseless violence, about to be evicted from his home, lost his job, wife left him – one of his kids are sick and he can’t pay the medical bill – lost his car and the list goes on and on…. Some people just don’t get it and apparently this fool hasn’t gotten it! With the loss of his beloved mother – you would think humility would lessen his massive ego? When all is said and done, fool, the Good Lord is still watching and you NEVER know. You reap what you sow…just saying! I think if I was him, I would be a little thankful. You have a kid on the way and you never know what obstacle you could be faced with – stop the ranting on menial things and be THANKFUL – GRATEFUL & HUMBLE!!!!!
