*When Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got together… it was kind of weird.
Now that most of us have gotten used to seeing them as an item, critics say the socialite is hurting his career.
Kanye’s appeared several times, at this point, on “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” While it was cute at first, some suppose his popularity and individuality as a celebrity is being tainted by his big eyed beauty.
Instead of being the rebel he’s once been labeled, he’s now on the cover of everything with that chick by his side.
“His personal life is overpowering his music,” an industry source tells the New York Daily News. “Every time he plays, people are wondering if Kim is going to be there. It’s not a good thing for him, especially if he wants to be taken seriously.”
According to the source, his pockets are also being affected.
He’s been offered several opportunities to be a part of projects, particularly a slew of New Year’s Eve parties, but allegedly won’t take them without his woman co-hosting.
In the meantime, he is apparently aware of the transformation and is currently seeking guidance from music industry execs.

The point of the article is that his fans are buying his image and not accepting of his new image with Kim K. Whether you agree or disagree, the fans are paying his bills. This is no different from some artist pretending to be single to appease there fans while having a secret family.
I honestly think Kim is what helps him stay more relevant. Both are attention whores so its a compliment to each other’s ego. Yes, he still makes a good mint but his music has been wack since the death of his mother. Seems like it died right along with her.
