There was a contender for his seat, but it’s not certain what will happen with him now that he’s been arrested.
Illinois veteran state senator Donne Trotter, recently announced that he would run for Jesse Jackson Jr.’s seat in the U.S. House, but it seems that his decision might be put on hold for a while because he attempted to board a flight out of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport headed to Washington D.C., with an unloaded .25-caliber Beretta handgun and a magazine clip with six bullets in his carry-on bag, according to Yahoo! News.
