*Rihanna has reportedly been telling friends that her romance with Chris Brown reminds her of the relationship between Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
According to HollywoodLife, a source said that Rihanna could personally identify with the Bobby/Whitney duet “Something In Common.”
“Their relationship is like the early Whitney and Bobby day. Ri was watching Bobby and Whitney’s ‘Something In Common’ video the other day and said ‘This is just like Chris and me. For real though, that’s the type of fun we having right now. I love Whitney. She was my girl. Can’t nobody do it better than her,’” the source told HollywoodLife, adding that you can see her relationship with Chris is “real love … like ain’t no bullshi**ng. The s**t is magical and it’s real.”
The 24-year-old “Diamonds” singer was beaten by Chris Brown in 2009, and Whitney and Bobby’s relationship also included violence. In 2003, he was charged with misdemeanor battery for striking Whitney and threatening further bodily harm.

What pisses me off is how she came across as being a poster child for domestic violence. It was all BS..those fake ass tears she shed for Diane Sawyer during her first interview. I wonder how much they paid her ass to do that interview…when you think about it, she wasn’t advocating shit against domestic violence…and its obvious, they were still humping probably the day after court…victim my ass and I really want to know where and what is her real talent other than having a cute face with light eyes??? Whitney left Bobby Brown for good and never got back with him. I guess Rihanna forgot that part. What will the world do when Chris Brown beats up Rihanna again?
I do not think Chris would be that STUPID!! as to assault Rihanna again seeing how the public still does not forgive him for that and it would be career ending for him. I am not a fan of either Chris or Rihanna BUT I felt for her when the incident happened in 2009 and I guess she has her reasons for dating Chris again, what those reasons are I do not know nor do I care that is on her. I know dam well I would not go back to a guy who hit me. I really am concerned about the other victims of DV the every young women who are not some pop star who are sometimes trapped in those abusive relationships.

Most victims still love their abusers, they just want the violence to stop. They did not ask to be poster children for domestic violence; the media and public did that to them. I don’t care how much she drinks, gets high and party, that doesn’t make it ok for her to be abused nor for us to lack any empathy because we think she is ‘cute-faced no talent blah blah blah….whatever.”
I’d love to see how you would handle it if your partner whipped on your ass and you had the live that under public scrutiny. At the end of the day, these are young adults who have not had the benefit of good counsel and support; only negative, victim blaming criticism such as yours.

Rihanna made herself a poster child during that first interview. I believe she was told to do it… and told what to say! She threw Chris under the bus.
What is happening to Rihanna is that the public is losing patience with her… which is typical for a great deal of abuse victims. Whether you like it or not it is typical.

It appears that both Chris & Rihanna have been acting out for quite some time. They BOTH need help. The ending will likely not be good for either without help! They BOTH seem to be spiriling out of control. Kind of scarey!

You’re right. I had a friend in NYC who used to get her azz beat by her boyfriend on the regular and he treated her son like shyt. When other friends would urge her to leave, her only reply was, “I can’t… the dyck is too good”. So you are correct– people lose patience with your decisions to stay with someone who obviously does not love you as much as you love them.

Rihanna is young, dumb, and ignorant. The part of her face above her eyes is extremely large. I’m not understanding why she would attempt to compare Chris & herself with Bobby & Whitney who had a very unhealthy and turbulent type of relationship over 10 years. Both were a hot mess involved with crack & various other drugs. Chris Brown has anger management problems and will snap again on Rihanna, regardless of the public like or not. He knows Rihanna’s true feeings and already have the key to do whatever he wants that may involve Rihanna. Eventually she will learn a valuable lesson on dealing with Chris. She is in love with him and has not had enough of him, and can’t let go.
