the game - jesus piece*People lately have been acting a little sensitive about Jesus’ representation.

First it was Jamie Foxx taking it to a whole new level calling the president the “lord and savior.”

Now The Game is facing scrutiny for his new album cover that kind of resembles a funny looking Jesus.

But the rapper says stop trippin’ because it’s not. The cover’s image is the late, great Rick James in “Jesus clothes.”

“I’m a big fan of Rick James,” The Game told Jenny Boom Boom from Hartford’s 93.7. “I thought I would put him on my album cover and put a rag around his neck and put him in Jesus’s clothes. Everybody thinks that’s Jesus but that’s Rick James. Why are you offended?”

He went on to make a point about how no one really knows what Jesus looked like so to avoid the unavoidable controversy, he covered Rick James’ face.

Entitled “Jesus Piece,” the album’s artwork was released ahead, stirring up conversation. But the Jesus art is only available on the deluxe edition.

The new standard version depicts his brother Jevon who was killed at 21 years old.
