*This story sounds like something right off of a sitcom.
The Rapunzel-type escape from jail is something we’ve only heard about in the movies.
The New York Daily News reports that the two, Kenneth Conley, 38, and Joseph Banks, 37, also known as the “Second Hand Bandit”, performed their own form of Shawshank Redemption.
They broke out of a high rise jail in downtown Chicago called Metropolitan Correctional Center, before 5am using a slew of bed sheets to shimmy down 15 stories.
Yep, that’s what we said…15 stories!
If they didn’t hurt anyone on the way out/”down”, good luck, but baby it’s cccccccold outside!
