*Given the season he’s had, this is not surprising news.
The Baltimore Ravens say Ray Lewis will retire after the playoffs.
Lewis has missed most of this season – out since October 14 – with a triceps injury. However, he hopes to play Sunday in the wild-card round against Indianapolis.
“This will be my last ride,” says 37-year-old NFL superstar. “It is time for me to create a new legacy” after 17 NFL seasons.
Lewis was the AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2000, when Baltimore won the Super Bowl title, and in 2003.

While, not a football fan, I say good for him, he is still a very young man but, given his injuries, he can’t heal like a 30y/o and given the nature of his job, he made the right decision. Good luck Ray!
Who else but the other thousands of folks see this site is lamer everyday . .And yes, I’m going keep coming back here, just to post and check the downward spiral.
