During her Super Bowl media day, Beyonce admitted to lip syncing the National Anthem at President Obama’s Inauguration – but only after she belted the anthem live, and acapella, for the press.
When she finished, she simply said, “Any questions?”

She added, “Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk … so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I’m very proud of my performance.”
When TMZ asked about a possible Destiny’s Child reunion at this Sunday’s halftime show – Beyonce hedged on the answer.

Beyonce, why did you feel you had to ‘prove yourself’ to these people? Lip Syncing nowadays, is as common as ‘auto tune’. I admit you are not the greatest singer of all times. The thing I was most concerned about is the dress you wore for this press conference.too short, slit in the back? you are a married woman with a child…please respect yourself, and therefore others will reciprocate!
She haaaaaad to get the press back on her side, at least “try” so that her SB performance wouldn’t be riddled with “super criticism/hate nor…the rest of her career!!! It’s amazing how they can just turn ‘on yo ass! I remember how they turned ‘on MJ, all b/c HE had the means and WAS the better businessman, in purchasing ole Paul’s/the Beatle’s music. “Punished” him for just doing what ANYone would do, if “they” had the means. But since he didn’t “stay in his “boy space” & did some “man” shyt?,……they held a grudge, “fanned” all the molestation shyt, wasn’t objective at all, &…..the rest is history. So she had to do this “damage control”. But you are right!!!!, she shouldn’t have haaaaaad to do it, but you knooooooow “We” are ALWAYS held to a higher standard, even AMONG “Us”!!! SMDH!! Wasn’t gonna but I gotta: Wow, the arrogance of asking “any questions” after a mediocre performance like at the press conference is off the charts, lol. There appears to be an unravelling of some kind going on here. The ego/narcissism seems to have reached a boiling level. I think she would have been well served to not have tried to sing it live, it looked desperate and imo (just MY opinion) was not impressive, although it did sound like her pre-recorded track minus the breaths in between notes (I also thought the pre-recorded track was not substantial but not impressive). I think at some point the light clicks on. She is a great entertainer but it’s clear her talent (not a songwriter, not a musician, plays no instruments, not a powerhouse or even classicaly trained singer, etc) is disproportionate to her exposure. There is no reason for someone to crave EVERY spotlight the way she does unless there is an intense narcissim (inverted insecurity) seeking fulfillment. I think she will do great the Superbowl, as she’s said many times “I was born to do this,” but I don’t think her Messiah complex will serve her well going forward.
Response to renee. Where in the hell is it written that you have to stop dressing sexy once you become a wife and a child? Just because you probably don’t have the body to wear a dress like that don’t hate on Bey. Get in the 21st century! Also if she wanted to prove to everybody that she can sing the national anthem live then Bey can do that! That’s how you silence the haters like yourself!
