The basketball player announced that he went on a Biblical fast based on a verse in the book of Daniel. He abstained from eating meat of any kind, breads, sweets, and soda for 21 days last year.
He’s on a path to endure a spiritual cleansing, to help bring a little clarity to his life.
“I haven’t had a good meal in about two and a half weeks,” he told ESPN, adding that the fast directly impacted his game. Anthony didn’t elaborate, however, for what he was seeking clarity.
Coincidentally, after Melo finished his fast on Sunday, his New York Knicks teammate, Amar’e Soudemire, told ESPN that he’s gone vegan, primarily to maximize his health practices.
