Remember, he was sentenced to five years formal probation for his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. He’s got another year to go.
Ocean tweeted Sunday night that he “got jumped by Chris and a couple guys,” adding that he had sustained an injury.
“Cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the Grammys,” Ocean added.
The Sheriff’s Department which is conducting a battery investigation over the alleged altercation, according to TheWrap, said that Brown, 23, and his entourage left the scene before deputies arrived, but that law enforcement will reach out to him.
“The investigation is ongoing and investigators will contact Chris Brown at a later time,” the department said in a release.
Meanwhile, neither Brown nor Ocean has issued a formal statement on the matter, aside from taking to social media to inform the masses about the scuffle, reports MTV.
Brown claimed he was trying to focus on his work, “not negativity,” before later posting a drawing of Jesus on the cross (see below) to his Instagram account with the caption:
“Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters!”
