*A 57-year-old woman out of Florida is claiming that the late great horn blower and singer, Louis Armstrong, was her father.
Sharon Preston-Folt (pictured below) says over the years, she’s been keeping mum about being the daughter of one of the most iconic figures in music, but not any longer.
Not only is she announcing to the world who her daddy was, but she’s also decided to sell the love letters Armstrong and her mother wrote to one another.
That’s not all folks; she’s also penned a memoir.
“I chose to tell my story now because it’s about my legacy,” Preston-Folt said. “I matter. My story is important. I have every right to say who I am, to be proud of it.”
But her motives may also stem from apparent bitterness toward the Armstrong estate for not acknowledging her.
So now she’s planning to get her money her way.
“I chose to tell my story now because it’s about my legacy,” Ms. Preston-Folta told the New York Times. “I matter. My story is important. I have every right to say who I am, to be proud of it.”

Using Louis Armstrong’s name to come out with a so-called legacy in attempts to gain some type of recognition, or fame. Now wants to sell love letters that suppose to have transpired among Louis & her mom? Wow! the things some people will do to get money and seek attention. Makes you wonder if she can really prove that she is actually his daughter as claim.
What legacy????
Mr.Armstrong died almost 42 yrs ago, it took her all that time to realize she mattered . . . . .to anyone? Yeah, this is sour grapes and hell, not to be acknowledged? I’d have been mad too but, I’m looking at that Grand Piano behind her and she ain’t doin’ too bad.
Totally about money . . .
Why did so wait so long, was she waiting until her mother passed away? Her mother should have made it known? smh
.
She does look like him.
