*According to the Final Call, Minister Louis Farrakhan made an appeal to President Barack Obama to come into Chicago … to the ‘hood to help end the senseless street violence.
Minister Farrakhan’s comments were made during Part 2 of his weekly message, ‘The Time & What Must Be Done’ which is available in its entirety at http://www.noi.org/thetime
He also announced a 52-week series of messages, “The Time and What Must Be Done,” which began Jan. 12 via Internet, cable TV, radio and MP3/DVD.

I don’t understand why President Obama has been silent on this matter especially considering that he represents Chicago and have lived there for a long extensive time and is very aware of the woes in the urban areas. I agree with Minister Farrakhan but sadly, I know this won’t happen with a long shot.
No, it won’t happen Diva. The differences in treatment between Newtown and Chicago is glaring and has not gone unnoticed. Couldn’t believe some white man on the subway even pointed it out during a ride home one evening.
