A novel based on the struggles of children of the great migration, the book is a top pick for the media mogul.

“The opening pages of Ayana’s debut took my breath away,” said Winfrey, OWN CEO, “I can’t remember when I read anything that moved me in quite this way, besides the work of Toni Morrison.”

Since technology is at everyone’s fingertips, those participating in the book club will have the chance to pick up the special edition with Oprah’s notes on her favorite passages, currently available through Amazon Kindle, NOOK, and the iBookstore.
