*Whoa! The president just got called out by a rapper! Yes indeed.
Exiled (to Israel) rapper Shyne, who hasn’t done much of anything these days, took to Twitter about his outrage with President Obama on the issue of the high murder rate in his (Obama’s) hometown of Chicago.
He not only called him out, the rapper threatened him with a “meltdown,” reports V103 Radio (Atlanta).
“If @barackobama doesn’t do something about the genocide in Chicago fast,” he tweeted Monday (January 14), “I’m gonna have an @kanyewest melt down & say Barack Don’t care about?”
When Katrina happened, the most gasped and many clapped after Kanye West went on and told everyone that President George Bush “don’t care about black people.”
It was a historical moment in 2005, one that many will not forget.
But back to Shyne’s Twitter posts… he went on to asked about that activist spirit Obama once had as a local politician in Chicago, where is the fire?
Then he went on with some harsh criticism:
“@barackobama I forgot you weren’t an impoverished inner city kid! You grew up in Kansas & Hawaii! You only play the ghetto card come election time!”

What’s going on in Chicago DOES need to be addressed! The killing of the children in Sandytown has the nation in an uproar so should the children of Chicago. It’s the color of the childrens skin that has the lack of concern. There is NO WAY u could have white children being killed on a daily basis and NOTHING be done

Sad, but true. And even the Obama apologists can’t defend that.
Nah, I don’t think a Kanye type meltdown would be appropriate. I wouldn’t go as far as saying “Obama doesn’t care about black people”. Actually, I wouldn’t say the same about George Bush, either. But what’s sad, is that being president, Obama feels compelled to show a disregard for black people and our issues. Also sad that so many of us feel compelled to defend this attitude.
What’s ironic is that Bush tried to give the opposite impression. He got Colin Powell and Condi for Secretary of State, and he is credited with being the president to give the most aid to Sub-Saharan Africa. Obama, on the other hand, wouldn’t bat an eye as Africans were being slaughtered and raped in the ethnic cleansing that followed his “freedom” fighters overthrow of Gaddafi.

Shyne is one freaking idiot. The only reason why this punk has been speaking out, and against Obama is primarily because Obama didn’t do anything to prevent Shyne’s deportation back to Belize. So In October 2012, Shyne endorsed Mitt Romney for president of the United States. First of all, Shyne is NOT a resident of the USA, but was an illegal immigrant that entered the US illegally. He started his career with Diddy as being the flunky for Diddy. The clown got in trouble and served 9 years in prison over some dumb stuff. After this dummy was deported back to Belize he later tried to exiled to the UK, but the UK didn’t accept him due to his criminal record. Shyne was later accepted in Israel as a resident. He changed his name to something like Moses Levi, claiming to now represent one of his grandmother’s heritage. Shyne was born and raised in Belize, NOT Chicago. No one really cares if this fool has a Kanye type meltdown or nervous break down.

In the inner city grass roots solutions may be better, because they are closer to the situation.
They know about the gang activities, drug activity, etc.
Not saying they can solve the problems, but locals may be willing to share information.
I grew up in the inner city, but things have changed quite a bit!
I still have relatives still in the inner city… but when I go back to visit it is a bit scarey. Everybody comes off as HARD, even the females! They tend to look older and live shorter lives.
If the Feds just provide $$$ you typically have influx of $$$ and very little monitoring of what it is used for. Ultimately very little change is effected! Then you have a new politician in office that may not give a d*mn!
I think it’s amazing when some of these so called celebrities who have the power and even the means to make a difference, don’t! And yet, some of them have so much to say about those who are at least trying. The president cannot police Chicago. He has to try to govern the United States. It is up to all of us, each county, city, and State to take some responsiblity for our own neighborhoods. People like Kanye and Shyne need to get off of their butts and try to do more to encourage this instead of always trying to get gain attention going at issues the wrong way. Just sayin…
