‘The Talk’ Matches ‘The View’ in Key Ratings Demo

*Looks like it’s just a matter of time before CBS’ “The Talk” is renewed for a fourth season.

The daytime chat program, which had been on a ratings upswing this fall, delivered its largest weekly audience ever last week, 2.49 million viewers, up 10% from the same week last year, according to Deadline.com.

In female demographics, “The Talk” had its best rating among women 18-49 since the week ending Sept. 28. In the women 18-49 and women 25-54 demos, “The Talk” matched rival “The View” for the first time this season with a full week of regularly scheduled broadcasts.

Sheryl Underwood and Aisha Tyler co-host “The Talk” along with Julie Chen, Sarah Gilbert and Sharon Osbourne.

  1. I love watching both but Julie Chen, you are pretty; please think about letting go of the big hair. The View, I’m really getting sick of Barbara, Sherri, cute and funny, Joy, is becoming annoying at times, Whoopi, I’m gone always love what is her name……..uugghh I hate when this happens but she always sounds like she’s winning (Sherri’s good girlfriend…..LOL) Yall need to stop talking over one another.

  2. Cosign, sweetpea, the ladoes of the view always talk over each other and interrupt also. I always record the show. I do not care for The Talk at all.

  3. I am shocked Sherri is on the View. Did she ever go back to get her GED?

  4. Those ratings are still much worse than the ones As The World Turns had for many, many years. CBS wants us all to make believe that they’re so much better off with these cheap talk and game shows, but the truth is that they’ll never get really good ratings again if they don’t re-start our favorite soaps again. Y&R is living proof that good soaps can get you much higher ratings. So, if they ever want to return to a much superior level of ratings, they have to get rid of this garbage and bring back our favorite soaps with better writers, more online activities and so on.
