Ola Ray & Michael Jackson in ‘Thriller’
*Michael Jackson’s estate finally lost the battle against the “Thriller” girl, Ola Ray.
According to TMZ, the woman who starred in the 80s music video, won $55,000 for herself and $20,000 for her lawyer. The battle has been raging on since 2009, a month before Jackson actually passed away.
She filed a lawsuit claiming breach of contract.
Along the same lines, the director of the music video, John Landis also filed a suit against the estate, but wanted something around $2 million.

Why did she wait so long?? almost 30 years or so??? all she received was 55K?? I suppose it is better than nothing.
Apparently, she got hooked on drugs REAL bad and was pretty much destitute and someone convinced her to do this and after all this time, I guess it paid off, but $55K isn’t really a lot of money. Not sure if she is still using but they say she was homeless, turning tricks, the whole nine.
Got’dam!! She really fell off the sidewalk, I had no Idea. . . . . I think she’d been battling mj longer than that.
She never “battled” Michael. He always tried to do the right thing by her. She’s been receiving royalties from that video for years, because she states here that Michael would always “re-release Thriller in different packages” so that she would get her royalties.

I guess we will never know the total amount of money she has received for the video. We are left to conclude that she signed a contract for a very small percentage of the profits.
EUR, you should have mentioned here that this lawsuit was settled in May 2012, not last week, and that makes it OLD NEWS.
