*With his previous gig “Last Resort” over at ABC, Andre Braugher has landed a starring role in an upcoming FOX comedy as an NYPD detective opposite “Saturday Night Live’s” Andy Samberg.
Braugher will pay Capt. Holt, who finally has gotten his own command after 30 years on the force, and he’s not going to let anyone screw it up — least of all the station’s top cop, Jake (Samberg).
The untitled comedy from “Parks and Recreation’s” Dan Goor and Mike Schur also features Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz and “One Life to Live” alum Melissa Fumero as Amy, playing a smart cop and former middle school teacher in the comedy from Universal Television.
“Parks and Recreation” writer Chelsea Peretti has also landed a regular role on the single-camera comedy from Universal Television, playing Gina, an eccentric, civilian office manager of the 191st precinct.
I’m very disappointed that the “Last Resort” was cancelled. There are few military shows on tv
with a diverse cast,and the story line was really starting to get juicy.These days, folks can’t wait
to develope a following.It’s either you tune in in the first 2-3 weeks or your a goner.But I love
Andre Braugher ever since “Homicide on the Street”.So I’ll tune in,but still feel a sense of lost
