*The Barbie doll comes in many different variations, but she is now donning a sort of stripper look…at least that’s what many of us thought.
There’s plenty of black Barbies out there, but there is NOT a new black Barbie available from Mattel with a stripper-look that shows a bit of cleavage.
The doll has a Nicki Minaj-ish look to her with bronze skin and golden blond hair, gold necklaces around her neck, toting Louis Vuitton’s monogram multi-color collection.
Is this open season on Black Women? Maybe I didn’t get the memo. This is ridiculous!
This is not a Barbie doll. It is a Fashion Royalty doll named Adele and it’s actually been produced as a limited edition collectible 8-9 years ago. Fashion Royalty is designed by fashion deisgner Jason Wu and produced by Integrity Toys. This doll is an adult collectible fashion doll. Adele has been on the market the market for 10 years and there have been many incarnations of her in various skin tones and hair styles. I’ve been collecting Fashion Royalty dolls for 6 years and have a couple different versions of Adele. These dolls are not marketed to kids in any way shape or form.
