*Dwyane Wade is facing further problems in his custody battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade after she accused him of failing to keep tabs on their children’s asthma medication.
The Miami Heat player, who is currently dating Gabrielle Union, has been embroiled in an ongoing legal spat with Siohvaughn, the mother of his two sons, since their split in 2007.
The NBA star was awarded custody of the boys in 2011, but Siohvaughn has now filed legal papers accusing him of failing to keep up with the medication needed to control the kids’ asthma.
In the papers, obtained by TMZ.com, Siohvaughn alleges her former partner has “never obtained any asthma inhalers or asthma nebuliser machines for the children since… he was awarded… custody on March 11, 2011.”
The website reports she wants the court to order him to be more attentive and amend her visitation rights over claims Dwyane hasn’t been adhering to the guidelines set out for her time with the children.
I honestly feel really sorry for his ex. He really seems like a good Dad to his boys and it seems like she probably had some mental issues and he had to do what he had to do for the sake of his boys. You never hear him making derogatory remarks about her and he does his best to keep their custody issues private. They say she’s gone through numerous attorneys and obviously there was something going on with her because most judges don’t take the kids away from the Mom. I’m sure he wouldn’t have an issue with her seeing her kids but her mental state may not be what’s in their best interest. I’m working on a case like that now…the baby mama is a nightmare.
