*As Kim Kardashian continues her efforts to speed along a divorce from husband Kris Humphries, the athlete remains content to take his own sweet time.
In response to Kim’s request to set an immediate trial date to get the split finalized, the NBA player’s lawyer, Marshall Waller, has filed a motion claiming Kim is trying to gain an unfair advantage by trying to speed things along despite various delays in the discovery process, reports E! News.
“What are they hiding?” Waller states in the documents. “What is there in the raw footage of this televised courtship, 72-day marriage and resultant breakup that they are so afraid of us discovering?”
He adds, “What is really going on here is that an ‘urgency’ in the form of an apparently unplanned pregnancy, something the Respondent had nothing to do with, is perceived by Plaintiff as an opportunity to gain a litigation advantage by trying to force this court to prematurely set this matter for trial.”
Kim, who is expecting a baby this summer with Kanye West, filed for divorce from Kris on Oct. 31, 2011.
Kris says he has the right to be present when Kim is deposed, but his game schedule won’t make him available until mid-May or June.
Humphries’ attorney writes in his filing that he would be ready for trial with discovery completed by the end of 2012 “IF (and only if) everybody was cooperative.”
A hearing is set for Feb. 15.

I believe KK will get on her knees eventually since everyone knows that marriage was bogus. Big deal…that’s all the public expects from her clan anyway. She has no qualms being married to one man and having a baby with another. If Kris wanted to he could probably commandeer that delivery room and keep Kanye waiting outside.

Kris is a bitter person but as much as I hate to admit it, I love how she is being tortured because Kim and the gooky fam are such fraudalent characters and they need to be exposed on every end.

Initially, I thought Humphries was being a jerk but I actually understand his position. He’s not asking for money; he wants to have the marriage annuled and he wants Kardashian to admit she married him under fradulent pretense for financial gain (i.e. TV show, product endorsements, magazine covers, etc.). It’s obvious that marriage was a fraud considering she filed for divorce after only 72 days. There was no talk of Humphries being abusive nor was there any talk of him philandering- so, what happened? Did Kardashian suddenly realize she didn’t love Humphries and she’d made a mistake by marrying him? Yeah, right. I say Kardashian needs to be a woman and divorce that man on his terms.

I love it. Kris hold out for as long as it is necessary. We the people know that it was all a sham of a marriage and was just for show. She wasn’t too worried when she took up with Kanye, having unprotected sex, knowing what the outcome could be. Now she wants to be clear of Kris to have a life with Kanye and her baby. She should have thought about that before she started a relatiionship without finishing the one she was currently in.
She need to just give him the annullment before it drags out and the baby is born. If I’m correct, under CA law the husband is automatically considered the father. So is the baby is born before everything is finalized does it mean that Kris will be listed on the birth certificate? This is why you never get involved with anyone until the divorce is finalized. lol
What does Kris want? Money? Because in Cali marriage property- money-income etc., is split 50/50 in the sense who has the most to lose to pay the one who has less to lose as the spouse no matter what.. unless there’s a prenup…
Kris dad is afri american…and raised Kris well.. Kris stop being selfish let it go get the divorce and cut your losses and move on.. Kris knew who Kim was before Kris married her.. you can’t change a “TUTE” into a housewife..

ladyellie, let’s see if she makes him an offer he can’t refuse to accept a divorce instead of an annulment. What’s her hurry? I doubt if she and KW will wed rightaway anywho. LoL!!!! Kris is killing two birds with one stone because I doubt he’s forgotten KW’s diss on Theraflu and talking nonsense about he could have JZ fire him from the Nets. Kris is not to be trifled with!
So true Mel, I forgot about the diss. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in a few months and I wonder if she is actually pregnant????
