*Six months after inking an exclusive pod deal with Universal Cable Productions, the John Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co. has made its first sale — to UCP’s sibling network USA.

The cable home to “Suits,” “Psych” and “White Collar” has handed out a script order to “The Edge,” a drama about an idealistic Harvard Business School graduate named Jeff Cross who joins a progressive financial firm called Edgeton Global (aka The Edge), where he discovers the company’s dark secrets while becoming entangled in a high-stakes FBI investigation.

Writing partners Justin Herber and Adam Hoff will write the script and executive produce alongside Legend and his Get Lifted partners, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We are very excited about our first sale through our UCP deal and look forward to many more,” Legend, Jackson and Stiklorius said in a statement to THR.
