*Keith David, last seen on TV in NBC’s 2011 drama “The Cape,” has been cast in Fox’s new single-camera comedy pilot “Enlisted,” reports Deadline.com.

The project follows three very different brothers working together in the Army at a small base in Florida. David will play Command Sergeant Major Cody Wallace, an intimidating, firm but fair 30-year army veteran who puts the oldest brother in charge of a unit of “dipsh*ts and slackers.”

“Enlisted” is from Cougar Town co-creator Kevin Biegel, which he is executive producing with Mike Royce for 20th TV.
