two chicago teen shooting victims

Teenagers killed as President Obama speaks in Chicago on gun violence, Friday, February 15, 2013.

*The worst of the worst occurred when the nation was shaken by the recent shooting death of Chicago honor student Hadiya Pendleton days after she performed at President Obama’s Inauguration.

But unfortunately, that was not the end of tragedy in the windy city.

Two teenagers, Janaye McFarlane, 18, the mother of a 3-month-old baby boy, and Frances Colon, 18, preparing to graduate from Roberto Clemente High School, were both killed Friday in Chicago as President Obama spoke on gun violence in the neighborhood of Hyde Park, according to ABC.

Colon is the third student from Clemente to be killed in 2013.
