Kandi Burruss Sues Kim Zolciak Over ‘Tardy for the Party’ Song

kandi burruss & kim zolciak*The drama between Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss has just gotten a bit more hairy. Kandi is suing Kim over the song, “Tardy for the Party” for copyright infringement.

And guess who she’s hired as her lawyer? Phaedra Parks, who is an entertainment attorney.

It sounds like something out of a scripted show, but the fact of the matter is, the suit was actually filed March 12th. The song was also removed from iTunes due to the legalities surrounding the project.

Zolciak spoke with Too Fab regarding the lawsuit, “This is nothing short of a publicity stunt. I find this lawsuit funny yet sad. Coming after me now and this song is 4 years old? I have in fact overpaid Kandi and have documents to prove it, and my legal team will handle this accordingly.”

Kandi previously stated on the show she felt shortchanged after working with her former buddy on the song. So this is payback.

Besides that, Kandi also made it public news that she was quite disturbed her baby name was “stolen.”

  1. Good for Kandi, Kim uses everyone that comes in contact w/her.

  2. Hmmm… I wonder if Kandi was finally pushed over the edge after Kim “stole” her baby name idea (Kash). This should be interesting as we’ll get to see Phaedra Parks in action as an entertainment attorney. I wonder if the RHOA cameras are rolling to capture all of this.
