Kevin Hart, a natural comedian, is excited for the experience, but hasn’t had the easiest time working with SNL.
It’s not that he’s demanding of others or wants special accommodations. It’s that he’s got a method in which he works that was totally frazzled when he got in the room with the team.
“I am what you would a call a genius,” said Hart, as the “SNL” cast and crew burst into laughter. “So this process here is a little different. … A lot of people came in the room and were looking into my eyes and it threw me off a little bit,” he said jokingly, but in a serious tone. “So I just closed my eyes and let them talk and kind of took it all in. And then I recited everything they said.”
Typically locked in a quiet place at home, the short-stacked funny man has this strange routine where he stands on top of an apple box, sometimes two, to perform his jokes.
It obviously wasn’t like that this time around.
Kevin Hart is also the mastermind behind BET’s parody series, “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” a hilarious twist to the modern soap opera reality, starring Nick Cannon and Robin Thicke.
