*Nick Cannon plans on being one of them old, old school daddies who don’t play!
We know that ’cause that what he said. He told Us Weekly that he has his “belt out already” in preparation for the inevitable “terrible twos” his twins will soon inflict upon him and wife Mariah Carey.
Check out the TMZ video below where he says he plans on being just as hard on his son as he is daughter (though his daughter will find it hard to date) and says Mariah “doesn’t need” to handle the corporal punishment … because “that’s what daddies are for!”
And we thought Nick was a softie!

Re: “spare the rod”, I agree but in this day and time when God laid down these rules, our wicked generation would most likely fight Him too. I guess if your child spits in your face, talks back to you, treats you like dirt, just sit him/her in the ‘naughty chair’ and all shall be well. No one’s talking about spanking the day lights out of your child, or whipping them with force, but I guess raising your voice is just as bad in our mixed and messed up society. With teens threatening and murdering on the rise, we have NO one to blame when discipline fails altogether.
no one is actually against corporal punishment except those who can’t just physically beat their kids as result demonstrating VIOLENCE against their kids which is their liberty and choice to not beat on their child..there are kids who respond to other choices of affective punishment …
I for one believe in paddling punishment, fact is some folks take their daily anger and frustrations out on their kids as a form of RELEASED tension by beating the hell out of their children for the little things.. anger and frustration is not corporal punishment, anger ans frustration against a kid by beating them is abusive punishment… so when you use extension cords, objects other than a belt or paddle, slapping your kid in the face or mouth..is abusive and yes I have kids and I have NEVER paddled my kids without talking to them first giving them time to reason with shelf First before simply just beating them..
..or as some rather do out of frustration is too… as folks say BEAT their kids leaving SCARS for life on their kid’s body-who does that with as PARENT with a conscience?… to do so is more than sparing the Rod..its abusive of the rod and God is going to hold THOSE responsible for this trust me.. sometimes we expect too much from 3 and 4 year olds.. a 4 year old has lived on this earth for only 1,460 days..and that’s from birth to present and in that short period of time they learn to use all senses..walk talk, think, hear, think, see ans think, but not understanding how to use their senses correctly..and we expect them to think like adults? Are your kidding me? And if they don’t we beat the hell out of them leaving body scars? No we can do that and consider SHELF as good parenting …
I’m secure to the point I don’t need anyone to agree with me about my parenting skills.. and my kids are WELL behaved, educated, respectful and healthy not obese. HOW? because that’s the way my spouse( yes a 2 parent household makes a difference especially with kids.. my daughter needs her daddy and my boys need both me ans their mother).. treat them in such away and I spent a lot of time with my kids, simply talking with them with PRAISE and not AT THEM telling them what they do wrong ALL THE TIME. kids act out if the feel they are being mis treated..they act out as upon they see, hear ans feel, basically mocking those who are around them the most….so a lot of time when your kids act up–they are mocking you as a parent example or those around them as the example…kids have to be TAUGHT..they don’t come here knowing how to act up…they are like sponges the suck up everything good, bad or indifferent..

I don’t agree with beating children because that’s what your parents need. This is why children are stabbing parents while they sleep.

Most parents will spank out of frustration. Nick & Mariah have Nannies! They do not have to be with Dem babies long enough to do more than love on them!
They have the luxury of having a great deal of quality time DAILY!!!
