*Garcelle Beauvais has signed on to star in “And Then There Was You,” an indie drama being directed by Leila Djansi, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Beauvais stars as a teacher who has to pick up the pieces of her life after her husband leaves. When she falls for a new man, she discovers he, too, has possible relationship-ending secrets.

Also in the movie are Lynn Whitfield, Greg Vaughan, Leon Robinson, Kate Nauta and Trilby Glover.

Shooting is due to start in May in Los Angeles.

Djansi, who also penned the script, is a Ghana-born filmmaker part of the North African movie scene known as Nollywood. She wrote and directed the award-winning drama “Ties That Bind.”

Beauvais most recently appeared as Denzel Washington’s ex-wife in Robert Zemeckis’ “Flight” and next plays the first lady to Jamie Foxx’s president in Sony’s upcoming summer tentpole, “White House Down.” She will guest star in an episode of USA’s “Necessary Roughness.”
