*New York, NY – Ashley Sharpton, President and Founder of Sharpton Entertainment, LLC, and her sister Dominique, Vice President, convened the annual “Flaunting My Expression” fashion show during National Action Network’s annual national convention on April 6, 2013.
The show was hosted by Dominique Sharpton and Sandra Woodley, aspiring model and contestant from Oxygen’s “The Face” reality TV show. Music was provided by Hot 97’s DJ Jazzy Joyce. Highlights of the show included fashions from emerging talent.
The show featured an ethnic mix of 25 “Sharp Models” in different “Streetwear” and “Chicwear.” The fashion segment consisted of seven scenes from 8 up & coming designers including Nene LA Shiro, Styles by Chimere, Je Suis, Eccentric Love, Fly Credentials, LSR and Funky Monkey. The pre-show included musical talent ranging from talented Apollo Live 2013 winner Greginald Spencer, French Montana’s new artist Young B, American Idol finalist Tenna Torre to amazing acrobat ballerina Dejiavu Ferguson
