*Rapper Wiz Khalifa has been taking financial advice from property tycoon Donald Trump’s money managers with hopes of getting his business affairs in order.
The rapper recently filed suit against concert promoters It’s My Party, Inc. over a cancelled gig in Washington, D.C. and he suggests the legal action was prompted by talks with associates of the “Celebrity Apprentice” host.
“Right now, I’m learning to sue people and get my money,” he tells Esquire magazine. “After talking to people who work for Donald Trump – smart, successful people – I’ve realized I gotta go after all that. That’s what I’m going to do that I didn’t last year.”
Speaking of lawsuits, Khalifa was named as a defendant in a copyright infringement complaint filed last year by songwriter Max Gregory Warren over allegations the rapper’s 2010 hit “Black and Yellow” plagiarized a song he wrote in 2007, “Pink N Yellow.”
